Learn how Reynolds Polymer captured 3D measurements for a complex shark tank installation

Learn how Reynolds Polymer validates the fit of a 36000lbs custom polymer dome window at the Georgia Aquarium. The measurements that needed to be captured for the installation, were of concrete rebates with two large opposing arches, horizontal and vertical. Capturing these measurements with traditional techniques were very challenging and time consuming estimated at several days.

With the Leica 3D Disto Reynolds Polymer was able to capture a multitude of measurements with x, y, and z coordinates within an hour. This not only allowed for much higher accuracy and precision but also allowed for the engineers to take the digital measurements and overlay them onto the CAD design within minutes to validate the correct fit, before any road closures, shipping, and crane rental were undertaken.
